A Change in the World

Pinch, punch it's the first of the month!!!

Now we're into July the sun should be shining and we should be out in the garden enjoying the sunshine, but what are we doing?  Staying inside, keeping out of the torrential rain and even switching the central heating on.  Has someone told the powers that be that it's summer? Fingers crossed for a late one!

On Saturday I ran my monthly Clarity workshop in Peterborough where we got our brayers and gelli plates out.  The ladies had great fun and there was plenty of laughter too.  Crafting is so much fun especially when you share it with friends and all of my ladies (and one gent) certainly enjoy themselves as well as bringing cakes and biscuits to enjoy during the day.

If you are interested in attending monthly workshops in the Peterborough or Nottingham areas please have a look at my "workshop" page for more details and I'd love to meet you and have you join in with the Clarity fun.

It's the start of a new challenge over at the Clarity Challenge Blog so why not pop over there and check out the design teams artwork?

It's a popular one this time with the theme of "ANYTHING GOES".  It's great because you're not limited to what you can use, apart from Clarity products of course, and you could even try those techniques you've been wanting to try for ages or something new that you've just learnt.

Whatever style you like or whichever stamps or stencils you use, we can't wait to see what you create.

Are you feeling lucky? Well that £50 Clarity gift voucher could be yours if you win. Here's my artwork for inspiration:

Materials:
Sentiment - be the change
Stamp - leaf set 1
Stencil - leaf 1
Adirondack inks - citrus & latte
Dylusions inks - melted chocolate,
cut grass & pure sunshine
Gilding flakes - variegated copper

The background has been made using pearlescent card, dylusion inks and a roll of kitchen paper with masks made from the stencil and the leaf set to match.  Have you tried using gilding flakes yet?  Just a word of warning.  Don't try it in front of an open window!  For ease of use empty the contents into a larger container.

Have fun wth the challenge!

xx Happy crafting xx
